The school of musicoperates in association with the University of Gloucestershire. It was developed in 2010 for musicians by musicians.
The Three Counties School of Music is an independent music assessment board, which aims to offer candidates more flexibility in a wide range of musical disciplines, from classical to modern in performance, accompaniment, musical direction and composition. All Three Counties assessments are currently operated remotely.
Either Submit an unedited DVD/ CD recording, plus a signed/dated statement declaring that it is indeed the named candidate performing,
The additional components are a mixed media portfolio and brief programme notes (if applicable) These should be produced in PDF format.
Three Counties School of Music The school exists and aims to provide quality, stimulating, accessible and affordable assessments for people of all age groups.
The assessments are designed to focus on a variety of musical styles, genres and musical disciplines. The assessments are perhaps less formal than the traditional examination boards, but we aim to be equally as rigorous as the other boards.

Three Counties assessments aim to be an enjoyable way of measuring a candidate’s’ level of progress in their chosen discipline and musical ability.
We offer assessments in a wide range of disciplines and at different levels:

Grades 1- 8 and External Diplomas
Assessments are available remotely in most musical disciplines.
Tailor-made / Combination Assessments
It is also possible for a candidate to tailor -make their assessment by choosing a combination of musical disciplines for their assessment.
